Happy Easter - Resurrection Weekend!

Acts 2:22-24
Luke 24:1-8

The Promised Savior
There are 48 prophecies about Jesus in the bible. The chances of fulfilling just 8 are 1 in 100 million-billion. Or the equivalent of filling the state of Texas with silver dollars two feet deep and finding the one coin that was marked randomly and toss in the pile somewhere on the first try.

In Acts we see that we have been delivered through a plan. Revelation 13:8 - lamb slain from the foundation of the Earth. Before we had a need He was our Savior. There is no need in your life that He has not already seen -- He defeated death!

Luke 24:1-8 - Jesus defeated death.
Easter changes everything! Why do we remember? We need a reminder of hope.

Revelation 1:17-18 - bow at His feet. The first thing Jesus said when his disciples saw he was, "do not fear." Don't be afraid of anything because He is the first and the last. He has the keys to death and Hades. The guy with the keys always rules! Nothing we face is bigger that God.

What is the worst thing that could happen to you?

Worst Case Scenario Survival Handbook says that if your parachute fails find your partner jumper. When you encounter a Mountain Lion you should open your jacket to look bigger. What if you don't have a jumping partner or a jacket?

The worst thing that could happen is death but Jesus died for us so we can go to heaven. What do you say he is? Is He your Lord and Savior?
