What is tradition and What is the Real Story?



God uses the common.

Matthew 2
Maji or Wise Men - Were Meads that were smart, good at science and astronomy. There may not have been 3, don't know their names but we know they came looking and they brought gifts of frankincense, gold, and myrrh. The gifts may have served as God's provisions for Mary and Joseph when they took Jesus to Egypt to escape King Herod.

1. Star was showing possibly radiance from God's glory. The wise men were asking where he was. God uses the common because they would have never found Jesus, the King, in Bethlehem.

2. Value of the Gift
The value is in the reaction or impact of when the gift came. Hell trembled and it brought war. Herod got nervous and wanted to kill the child. He told the Wise Men to report back their findings. God told Mary & Joseph to flee to Egypt to escape Herod. They stayed there until his death.

Jesus brought pain and suffering for many. The moment he showed up things changed. The enemy tried to stop the coming of the Lord.

Every year people try to kill Christmas... a little more of Jesus disappears year year. There are people who hate Him. There is an agenda to rid the country of faith in Christ. What is hard to understand is why there is so much energy, debate, and books written about something or someone if they don't believe in Him.

Worship the Lord who holds the keys.
