There is someone waiting on the other side of your obedience.
2 Corinthians 8:1-5
2 Corinthians 9:6-15
3 Things about the Macedonian Believers
1. Gift
- It all starts with one, nothing happens randomly because He is in control. God purposes everything, Macedonians become believers and that is the greatest gift of all.
- Acts 16:6-10, God closed one door and opened another
2. How they Gave
- They gave out of poverty and joy, they gave beyond their means, they wanted to give, they first gave themselves to the Lord
- We have freedom to choose to give
- We need to acknowledge that all things belong to God
- The only thing we own is Sin
3. Impact Around the World
2 Corinthians 9:1-15 What happens when you give?
1. It starts a snowball effect. It stirs others to give.
- They gave their best. It creates a spirit of generosity
2. God's grace abounds to you
3. Thanksgiving to God
4. God was glorified
Remember the one who gave himself for you.
Hebrews 12:1-3
